Having that point guard of the future locked in and getting him on campus for Grind Week over Sept. 5 weekend with a couple of other major recruiting targets will be massive.

One of those targets could end up being his backcourt mate in the 2026 class. That target who will be on campus with Medlock on Sept. 5 is four-star shooting guard Jasiah Jervis.

NEWS: #MichiganState will host 2026 four-star SG Jasiah Jervis for an official visit starting on September 5th, sources tell me.

The New York guard has had a breakout summer of AAU hoops & is a top-60 prospect.

More on yet another Grind Week visitor…https://t.co/IeZc6n3x62 pic.twitter.com/jNDXjY32EA

— Justin Thind (@JustinThind) July 24, 2025

This is a major development for the Spartans because Jervis is also one of the fastest-rising prospects in the 2026 class just like Medlock and, as Justin Thind stated above, he has had a breakout summer on the AAU circuit.

Back in early June, Jervis was ranked the No. 109 player in the class and now he’s all the way up to No. 60, per 247Sports. As per the composite, he’s gone from No. 103 to No. 64 since June.

Since Michigan State offered him on June 28, he’s received scholarship offers from Texas, Tennessee, Michigan, and most recently Florida. It’s clear to see that Izzo still has an elite eye for talent and a backcourt of Jervis and Medlock would be massive for the future of the program.

Getting him on campus during Grind Week with Medlock is a major plus and there couldn’t be a better recruiting event for Izzo to rely on for a commitment.

Michigan State basketball has been on fire over the past week, scheduling a handful of official visits and…

[44
1339,1317,1337,1338,62,67,132,68
0":"post-97806","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-ncaa-basketball","8":"tag-basketball","9":"tag-ncaa","10":"tag-ncaa-basketball","11":"tag-ncaabasketball","12":"tag-sports","13":"tag-united-states","14":"tag-unitedstates","15":"tag-us
["GET
