A 23-year-old California woman was one of three people killed over the weekend in the shooting outside an In-N-Out<\/a> restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho, according to family and company officials. <\/p>\n

Sabrina Garibay, 44, confirmed to The Times on Monday evening that the her daughter Ashley Garibay, an In-N-Out employee, was killed. She said she provided a statement to the burger chain that would be released on her behalf and declined to comment further. <\/p>\n

On the crowdfunding site GoFundMe,<\/a> Garibay described her daughter as an amazing soul with \u201ca radiant heart.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cAshley is a beloved daughter, sister, auntie and a best friend to everyone,\u201d she wrote. \u201cShe has left a lasting impression on so many souls.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ashley Garibay, who typically worked at an In-n-Out in Stockton, where she lived, often traveled across the U.S. to help open new stores and was doing that in Twin Falls when the gunman opened fire, the family said in its statement. According to the company,<\/a> the Twin Falls location had just opened July 24.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are heartbroken and devastated by the loss of Ashley. … She was adventurous, outgoing, smart and driven, never letting obstacles get in her way,\u201d the family\u2019s statement read in part. \u201cShe lit up a room with her bright smile and a laugh that was contagious. She was a friend to all, and no matter what difficulties she was facing, she always found a way to help others find the light in the darkness.\u201d <\/p>\n

The statement said In-N-Out was Ashley\u2019s first job and that she dreamed of managing one of the stores. <\/p>\n

Another California native reportedly was killed in Saturday\u2019s shooting. The New York Times identified<\/a> the victim as Christopher Claunch. His sister told the outlet<\/a> that Claunch lived in Idaho for about 30 years but always stopped at the burger joint whenever he returned to California. <\/p>\n

Claunch was from Southern California, according to reporting by KTLA<\/a>. He grew up in the Santa Clarita community of Canyon Country.<\/p>\n

The identity of the third person who died has not been made public. Officials in Idaho have not yet shared the names of the victims as they work to notify families.<\/p>\n

Lynsi Snyder, owner and president of In-N-Out, was saddened over the death of Garibay and the other victims. <\/p>\n

\u201cIn-N-Out will be mourning with the families and praying for them as they tread through a very painful season,\u201d Snyder wrote Sunday in a statement on Facebook<\/a>. \u201cI am no stranger to loss, but this is so incredibly tough, and my heart also goes out to all of the associates and customers who were there during this traumatic event.\u201d <\/p>\n

Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks said Sunday that in addition to those killed, seven others were injured in the \u201cchaotic\u201d attack. An off-duty state trooper and an armed citizen returned gunfire toward the suspected shooter, identified as Chad Williams, 24, who died at the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe commend their heroic actions, which we believe helped drive the suspect away from the scene and prevent further casualties,\u201d the department wrote in a statement on Facebook<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Police said the suspect acted alone and an investigation remained ongoing. Two of those who were wounded were treated and released at the scene, three were in stable conditions, and two others were in critical condition as of Sunday. Their conditions Monday were not immediately known.<\/p>\n
