PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) \u2014 The third defendant in the 2022 murder of a West Philadelphia recreation center employee was sentenced Monday.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

On Sept. 9, 2022, Tiffany Fletcher was shot in the torso while working at the Mill Creek Recreation Center<\/a> at 47th and Brown streets. Prosecutors said she got caught in the crossfire of two groups of juveniles opening fire on one another near the playground area. <\/p>\n

Witness testimonies placed defendant Tevin Kee<\/a> around 47th and Brown streets, running from the recreation center with a handgun in his hand.<\/p>\n

The 21-year-old entered an open or non-negotiated guilty plea for his role in the shooting death of Fletcher.<\/p>\n

Kee was sentenced to 12.5 to 25 years in prison.<\/p>\n

His co-defendants, Makie Jones and Malik Flegler, pled guilty in 2024 to third-degree murder. They were sentenced to 10 to 25 years and 12.5 to 25 years in prison.<\/p>\n

“They treated the human body like it was nothing. God created that body. Her body was his temple, and she is with him now,\u201d said Tiffany’s mother, Geraldine Fletcher.<\/p>\n

Assistant District Attorney Jeff Hojnowski said Kee apologized to the Fletcher family at the sentencing.<\/p>\n
