Therefore, New York cannot dictate how federal agents perform their official duties.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">&#8220;New York cannot impose its own uniform requirements on federal agents simply because it disagrees with how the Federal Government is exercising its authority,&#8221; the ruling stated.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">Gov. (Will Waldron\/Albany Times Union)<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">&#8220;While the court enjoined enforcement of New York\u2019s mask ban, we stand firm in our belief that masked agents do not make New York safer and our offices are reviewing all legal options at this time,&#8221; the pair said in a joint statement.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">However, D&#8217;Agostino declined to block a separate provision barring New York <a data-omtr-intcmp=\"fnc_politics_article_main-content_article-body_6_663788\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/politics\/judiciary\/state-and-local\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">local law enforcement agencies<\/a> from performing certain federal immigration enforcement functions under 287(g) agreements.<\/p>\n<p> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/hochul.jpg\" alt=\"New York Gov.
