One person was hospitalized in serious condition after a fire broke out at a downtown high-rise on Tuesday evening, the Chicago Fire Department said.<\/p>\n

CHICAGO (WLS) — One person was hospitalized in serious condition after a fire broke out at a downtown high-rise on Tuesday evening, the Chicago Fire Department said.<\/p>\n

CFD said the fire broke out at residential building in the Streeterville neighborhood’s 400-block of East Ohio Street.<\/p>\n

At least five ambulances were requested to the scene. ABC7 cameras captured a large emergency response outside of the building.<\/p>\n

CFD found the fire inside a unit. How it started was not immediately clear.<\/p>\n

Authorities did not immediately provide further information.<\/p>\n
