{"id":982386,"date":"2026-08-05T13:35:20","date_gmt":"2026-08-05T13:35:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/982386\/"},"modified":"2026-08-05T13:35:20","modified_gmt":"2026-08-05T13:35:20","slug":"texas-legend-steve-earle-brings-decades-of-songs-stories-to-d-fw-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/982386\/","title":{"rendered":"Texas legend Steve Earle brings decades of songs, stories to D-FW show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Steve\u00a0Earle hasn\u2019t released an album of new material since 2020, but he\u2019s got timeless tunes to burn \u2014 and tales, too.<\/p>\n<p>On Aug, 12, the 71-year-old Texas legend brings his \u201c51 Years of Songs &amp; Stories\u201d tour to Arlington, a preview of sorts of his long-delayed memoir, I Can\u2019t Remember If We Said Goodbye \u2014 a line from his classic \u201cGoodbye.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hopefully he\u2019ll play that 1995 ballad in his solo show, as well as \u201cCity of Immigrants,\u201d the subject of a timely new video shot in New York City and directed by Steve\u00a0Buscemi. Maybe he\u2019ll perform the North Texas debut of \u201cVolver a Celaya,\u201d which he wrote and recorded with Los Lobos, reportedly for the upcoming stage adaptation of Tender Mercies. And no Earle show would be complete without \u201cCopperhead Road,\u201d his outlaw tale of bootlegging, pot growing and family tradition.<\/p>\n<p>With opening act Max Gomez at 7:30\u00a0p.m., Aug. 12 at Arlington Music Hall, 224 N.
