When The Secret Life of the American Teenager popped up, Ringwald asked host Andy Cohen about the ranking system, \u201cThe worst is one? OK, that was it. The worst.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cIt was hard, I mean, OK, I love the cast,\u201d she said. \u201cI love\u00a0Shailene [Woodley]. There\u2019s so many people that I worked with that\u2026 There was one person that was really difficult. And I\u2019m not gonna say who that one person is, [but] they brought it down to a one.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tRingwald appeared in all five seasons of The Secret Life of the American Teenager from 2008 through 2012 as the mother to Shailene Woodley\u2019s character. Alongside the Big Little Lies actress, the show also starred India Eisley, Ken Baumann, Daren Kagasoff, Megan Park, Francia Raisa, Greg Finley and Mark Derwin, among others. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tRingwald did, however, rank Pretty in Pink as the best experience of her career. \u201cThat was pretty great. I\u2019ll give that a 10,\u201d she told Cohen. \u201cIt was written for me. [John Hughes] wrote the movie for me and, you know, I actually have a collage that I made myself that\u2019s in the bedroom.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe actress starred in a number of prominent\u00a0\u201980s films written and directed by John Hughes, including\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/sixteen-candles\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sixteen Candles<\/a>\u00a0(1984);\u00a0The Breakfast Club\u00a0(1985); and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/pretty-in-pink\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pretty in Pink<\/a>\u00a0(1986). <\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Molly Ringwald wasn\u2019t too fond of her time working on The Secret Life of the American Teenager.
