The Hudson County Prosecutor\u2019s Office Special Victims Unit and Jersey City Police Department are investigating an incident where a woman was sexually assaulted downtown late last night.<\/p>\n

Shortly after 11:30 p.m. Saturday, the Jersey City Police Department was notified of a sexual assault on Sussex Street, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said in a statement.<\/p>\n

Responding officers located a female victim who reported an unknown man physically and sexually assaulted her as she entered a residence.<\/p>\n

The female victim was transported by EMS to the Jersey City Medical Center where she was treated for her injuries and no arrests have been made at this time.<\/p>\n

This matter is actively being investigated by the HCPO Special Victims Unit and the Jersey City PD.<\/p>\n
