Aston Villa are interested in Matteo Ruggeri from Atletico Madrid.<\/p>\n

Spanish newspaper Marca reports that Unai Emery is monitoring the Italian left-back.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old joined the La Liga giants from Atalanta in 2025 but is now on Villa\u2019s radar as they bid to battle in the Premier League and Champions League this term.<\/p>\n

Ruggeri could replace Lucas Digne, who is set to join Paris Saint-Germain as a back-up to Nuno Mendes.<\/p>\n

This would be a surprise move. Nottingham Forest have been linked with Manchester City midfielder Tijjani Reijnders.<\/p>\n

Forest have shown an interest in the Netherlands international, according to the Daily Mail<\/a>, as they look to replace Elliot Anderson – who went the other way and joined Man City this summer.<\/p>\n

The former Milan midfielder is valued at around \u00a355m, while Forest have also been linked with Tottenham\u2019s Lucas Bergvall.<\/p>\n

Mohamed Salah is just two seasons removed from an outstanding Premier League campaign where he scored 29 goals and made 18 assists in 2024-25, so to see the 34-year-old end up in the Super Lig is somewhat surprising.<\/p>\n

But the forward scored just seven league goals in his final season at Liverpool, with his minutes diminished amid a falling out with former Reds boss Arne Slot, so it also makes sense that Salah\u2019s range of suitors was somewhat limited.<\/p>\n

Trabzonspor are generally viewed as the fourth-biggest side in Turkey. Based in the city of Trabzon, on the Black Sea, Trabzonspor have been champions of Turkey seven times, with their most recent title coming in 2021-22.<\/p>\n

They are yet to qualify for the Europa League league phase, and face a two-legged play-off this month \u2013 so European football is by no means a guarantee.<\/p>\n

Should Salah sign for Trabzonspor, the Egypt captain would instantly become the club\u2019s biggest signing. Their current squad includes on-loan Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana, as well as a couple of Cape Verde\u2019s World Cup stars: Wagner Pina and Sidny Lopes Cabral, who scored their stunning goal against Argentina.<\/p>\n

As Salah is a free transfer, Trabzonspor would have been able to commit more of their transfer budget towards Salah\u2019s wages. His last contract at Liverpool was enormous and reported to be worth \u00a3400,000 per week.<\/p>\n

Cristian Romero is likely to head to Inter Milan this summer after being linked with a Tottenham exit.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s because the Argentina centre-back has \u201cchosen\u201d Inter, according to Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport.<\/p>\n

Romero could link up with John Stones, who joined the Nerazzurri on a free transfer after leaving Man City.<\/p>\n

The newspaper states a five-year deal is on the table and that Spurs will bank \u20ac35m (\u00a330m) plus another \u20ac5m (\u00a34.3m) in bonuses.<\/p>\n
