Alex Fitzpatrick, like Jackson Koivun, secured his first PGA Tour win in 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fitzpatrick, 27, won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans alongside his brother, Matt, and ever since then he has proven that he belongs at the very highest level of the game.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Koivun recorded his first ever PGA Tour title two weeks ago at the 3M Open in what was only his third start as a professional.<\/p>\n

Jackson Koivun<\/a> is an absolute superstar in the making and he is already turning heads on the PGA Tour<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Koivun\u2019s ultimate ambition is to become the world\u2019s number one golfer<\/a>, and he certainly has the talent required to achieve that goal.<\/p>\n

The 21-year-old is already making serious waves on the PGA Tour, with numerous elite players speaking very highly of him, including the likes of Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele.<\/p>\n

Alex Fitzpatrick reveals his thoughts on Jackson Koivun<\/p>\n

Fitzpatrick is very familiar with the path that Koivun has taken to the PGA Tour, after the Englishman came through the US collegiate system himself.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old was asked whether he has crossed paths with Koivun, and what he has made of what the 21-year-old has managed to do so far in the game.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have not. I saw him on the putting green on Monday. Obviously seems to be an incredible player,\u201c Fitzpatrick said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think there was anything in college he apparently didn\u2019t win.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s weird, once you\u2019re out of the college game, I feel like I haven\u2019t paid as much attention but obviously you hear about kids like him where if there is anyone that does what he does, as much as he\u2019s a great golfer, I heard he\u2019s a nice kid, which I think is the more important thing. <\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, good luck to him. He\u2019s obviously an amazing player and it\u2019ll be exciting to play against him.\u201c<\/p>\n

What Brandt Snedeker said about Jackson Koivun\u2019s Presidents Cup chances<\/p>\n

Brandt Snedeker will have a big decision to make in a few weeks\u2019 time when naming his Presidents Cup captains\u2019 picks.<\/p>\n

He recently responded when asked about Koivun\u2019s chances of making the team.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not going to discredit a 21-year-old kid who\u2019s played in, I don\u2019t know, four or five events this year just because he\u2019s been in college. I wouldn\u2019t be doing the team the right service, or him the right service,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf he goes out and plays great golf in the next four or five weeks and earns a spot and shows that he\u2019s willing to be one of the 12 best players for us, I\u2019d be dumb not to take a really good, hard look at him.\u201d<\/p>\n

In my opinion, Koivun has to be on Snedeker\u2019s Presidents Cup team.<\/p>\n

He possesses an incredible matchplay record as an amateur and giving the 21-year-old some valuable experience ahead of the Ryder Cup next year would be the smart move.<\/p>\n

Whether Brandt Snedeker is thinking along those lines remains to be seen, though.<\/p>\n
