{"id":986169,"date":"2026-08-07T06:12:35","date_gmt":"2026-08-07T06:12:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/986169\/"},"modified":"2026-08-07T06:12:35","modified_gmt":"2026-08-07T06:12:35","slug":"nypd-airlifts-woman-64-to-safety-after-shes-lost-in-thick-brush-near-brooklyn-beach","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/986169\/","title":{"rendered":"NYPD airlifts woman, 64, to safety after she\u2019s lost in thick brush near Brooklyn beach"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 64-year-old woman was airlifted to safety by the NYPD after she got lost in the thick brush near an isolated beach in Brooklyn, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyc.gov\/site\/nypd\/bureaus\/patrol\/citywide-operations.page\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">police<\/a> said.<\/p>\n<p>The woman called 911 on Sunday around 2:25 p.m., saying she had lost her way and was stranded in the thicket between Flatbush Ave. and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/gate\/learn\/management\/dead-horse-bay-faqs.htm\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dead Horse Bay<\/a>, near the Marine Parkway Bridge connecting Brooklyn to the Rockaways.<\/p>\n<p>Luckily for her, the NYPD\u2019s Aviation Unit is based right near the spot, on the other side of Flatbush Ave. at Floyd Bennett Field.
