General contractor The Beck Group held a topping-out celebration July 24.<\/p>\n<p>This will be\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/business\/real-estate\/2025\/10\/19\/117m-japanese-hotel-groundbreaking-huge-d-fw-office-lease-and-more-real-estate-news\/\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">the first Miyako Hotels &amp; Resorts property in Texas <\/a>and only the third in the United States. The 217-room hotel features 7,000 square feet of meeting and event space, anchored by a 5,000-square-foot ballroom. Other notable features include a traditional Japanese restaurant, an upscale lobby bar, Japanese bakery, a Texas-style rooftop bar, outdoor pool and a fitness center.<\/p>\n<p class=\"uiTextSmall f aic jcc\">Article continues below this ad<\/p>\n<p>The Miyako Hybrid Hotel Plano will be located within The Park at Legacy development in Plano \u2014 home to major corporate campuses that include Toyota Motor North America and more than 40 Japanese companies.<\/p>\n<p>Gensler is the design architect, and Looney &amp; Associates is the interior design firm. Alejandro Vazquez will serve as the hotel&#8217;s general manager.<\/p>\n<p>Developer buys ranch land for industrial development<\/p>\n<p>Farmers Branch-based <a href=\"https:\/\/urbanlogisticsrealty.com\/\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">Urban Logistics Realty<\/a> has purchased a portion of Denton County&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.robertharrisrealty.com\/for-sale-harris-ranch\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">Harris Ranch<\/a> for an industrial development.<\/p>\n<p>Urban Logistics announced in late July that it purchased 53 acres of the longtime cattle ranch. Work is expected to start in early August. The project&#8217;s first phase is expected to include five industrial buildings totaling more than 656,000 square feet. Construction is expected to finish in the third quarter of 2027.<\/p>\n<p class=\"uiTextSmall f aic jcc\">Article continues below this ad<\/p>\n<p>At full build-out, the business park will span 80 acres, the firm said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We believe the best developments respect the story of the land before writing the next chapter,&#8221; Urban Logistics Realty chief development officer Drew Feagin said in a statement. &#8220;Harris\u00a0Ranch has been part of Denton&#8217;s identity for generations. Our vision is to preserve that legacy while creating a business park that reflects where the community is headed.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Urban Logistics Realty and a real estate fund advised by Crow Holdings Capital formed a joint venture to develop Harris Ranch. Construction financing is provided by First United Bank. The owners obtained a $31.4 million loan against the property.
