He\u2019s a hero.\u201d<\/p>\n Jack Shi bought the property three years ago, unaware of the lore that came with the fact that the address of the home was used for Peter Parker and Aunt May\u2019s home in the comics.<\/p>\n The 64-year-old Chinese native takes his part in the fanfare seriously since he bought the home three years ago at the height of the Tom Holland film franchise.<\/p>\n \u201cI feel mild responsibility because Spider-Man, this is the American spirit. If I am living here, I should do as Spider-Man,\u201d the dad of two added. \u201cIf someone wants to take a picture, I say yes.\u201d<\/p>\n Shi added that kids from around the world write letters and draw pictures addressed to the Web Head that wind up at his home, which is labeled as \u201cSpider-Man\u2019s home\u201d on Google Maps.<\/p>\n \u201cSpider-Man, how do you do the things that you do like saving the world?\u201d Julius from South Dakota penned in April.<\/p>\n \u201cCan you come over to my house to play? We can watch TV together,\u201d another letter a child named Cooper wrote not just to Spidey, but Deadpool as well.<\/p>\n The family of little Kannon in Nebraska even invited Spider-Man to the tyke\u2019s 5th birthday party.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is where I wanted to live. It is an exciting place,\u201d Shi said. <\/p>\n \u201c[My neighbors], they are good people,\u201d he added of the area by Union Turnpike and Metropolitan Avenue. <\/p>\n Nearby at Frank Torres\u2019 residence, he\u2019s also used to being asked \u201cif my house was a Spider House\u201d \u2014 even though the Holland films are set closer to the East River around Astoria and Long Island City.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019d say it happens a few times every time a movie comes out,\u201d said Torres, a 76-year-old who\u2019s called Ingram Street home for three decades. <\/p>\n \u201cI feel mild responsibility because Spider-Man, this is the American spirit.
