Tonight, the Braves<\/a> will face Max Fried<\/a> for the first time ever \u2014 they missed facing him when the Yankees visited Atlanta<\/a> last year. (The three games in that series involved a bullpen game, a Will Warren<\/a> start, and a Marcus Stroman<\/a> start.) Fried’s been a Yankee for about a season and a half now, though headlines on him have been a bit muted this season because he missed over two months with a bone bruise on his pitching elbow. Still, he was dominant in his first year in pinstripes (4.8 fWAR, a career high in starts and innings, and a pitching line akin to his career line), and has been similar this year (with an added bonus of a lower HR\/FB because he was out when the drag on the ball precipitously fell in June).<\/p>\n

Anyway, it’ll be kind of weird for the Braves to face down Max Fried. Will it be weird for you? Do you still think of him as a Brave in some fashion?
