Savannah Guthrie reunited with Hoda Kotb during her weeks-long break from the \u201cToday\u201d show<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kotb, 61, posted an Instagram photo of the former co-hosts smiling<\/a> on Thursday.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy favorite place\u2026 next to you \u2764\ufe0f\u00a0@savannahguthrie,\u201d the journalist, who exited NBC last year<\/a>, captioned the outdoor shot.<\/p>\n

The reunion comes three weeks into Guthrie\u2019s temporary \u201cToday\u201d show break. (Pictured above: the co-hosts in October 2024.) WireImage<\/p>\n

In the social media upload, the ex-colleagues sat side-by-side on a couch with their arms around each other.<\/p>\n

Guthrie, who co-hosted \u201cToday\u201d with Kotb<\/a> between 2018 and 2025, wore a black dress in the picture.<\/p>\n

Her pal, meanwhile, sported a long-sleeve red top.<\/p>\n

The reunion comes three weeks into Guthrie\u2019s absence from the NBC morning show while filming a Wordle game show<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She announced on July 16 that her break would last \u201ca few weeks\u201d \u2014 and a return date has yet to be revealed.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re going to shoot the whole season, and we\u2019re super excited,\u201d Guthrie gushed at the time. \u201cCannot wait for everyone to see it.\u201d<\/p>\n

She was announced as the host of the Jimmy Fallon-produced show in May.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were looking for the perfect host for this. We needed someone who looks like they play Wordle, someone who knows how to run a show,\u201d Fallon, 51, explained.<\/p>\n

She is also navigating the ongoing disappearance of her mom, Nancy Guthrie (pictured above in 2020). savannahguthrie\/Instagram<\/p>\n

The \u201cTonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon\u201d host gushed that Guthrie was \u201camazing\u201d in the pilot, which is slated to premiere in 2027.<\/p>\n

She, notably, was not present when Craig Melvin was confronted on the \u201cToday\u201d show<\/a> set by a crazed intruder, who has since been hit with a slew of hate crime charges<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Guthrie is still navigating the tragic disappearance of her mom<\/a>, Nancy Guthrie, who was last seen in late January<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Savannah, who has acknowledged that the 84-year-old may be dead<\/a>, recently pleaded with Nancy\u2019s captors<\/a> in an emotional video when the search reached the six-month mark<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo the right thing,\u201d the former attorney tearfully urged on Aug. 1. \u201cIf you know anything \u2014 anything at all \u2014 please come forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

Savannah was off the \u201cToday\u201d show in the first two months of her mother\u2019s abduction, with Kotb filling in for her<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Savannah returned in April<\/a> \u2014 and sat down with Kotb<\/a> the month prior for her first sitdown interview on the tragedy.<\/p>\n
