{"id":987070,"date":"2026-08-07T16:11:19","date_gmt":"2026-08-07T16:11:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/987070\/"},"modified":"2026-08-07T16:11:19","modified_gmt":"2026-08-07T16:11:19","slug":"why-daniel-jeremiah-absolutely-believes-chargers-can-win-afc-west-in-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/987070\/","title":{"rendered":"Why Daniel Jeremiah \u2018Absolutely\u2019 Believes Chargers Can Win AFC West in 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>McDaniel, of course, is the new Chargers Offensive Coordinator after spending the past four seasons as the Dolphins Head Coach.<\/p>\n<p>Known as an offense mastermind \u2014 Bolts tight end Charlie Kolar called McDaniel &#8220;a wizard&#8221; earlier this week \u2014 the Chargers OC also has perhaps the NFL&#8217;s best tackle duo at his disposal.<\/p>\n<p>Slater missed the entire 2025 season after he sustained a torn patellar tendon during training camp while an ankle injury limited Alt to just six games last year.<\/p>\n<p>And while those three names provide optimism, each will also play a critical role for Chargers quarterback <strong><a class=\"nfl-o-cta--link nfl-o-cta--underline\" href=\"https:\/\/www.chargers.com\/news\/justin-herbert-nfl-top-100-list-2026\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Justin Herbert<\/a><\/strong>, who was under siege for most of the 2025 season.<\/p>\n<p>At the camp practice Jeremiah attended, he repeatedly noticed how fact the quarterback was getting rid of the ball.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I wouldn&#8217;t put limits on it and I&#8217;m excited to see it,&#8221; Jeremiah said of the Herbert-McDaniel pairing. &#8220;There were a lot of rhythm throws with Justin \u2026 back foot, the ball&#8217;s getting out, which I think is going to preserve him more than anything else.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The run-after-catch opportunities and the explosive plays and the run game are great, but first and foremost, it&#8217;s preserving Justin, and I think that&#8217;s going to help in a big way,&#8221; Jeremiah added.<\/p>\n<p>A player who could provide a spark with big plays on offense?<\/p>\n<p>Rookie wide receiver <strong><a class=\"nfl-o-cta--link nfl-o-cta--underline\" href=\"https:\/\/www.chargers.com\/news\/training-camp-takeaways-week-1-2026\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Brenen Thompson<\/a><\/strong>, who brings plenty of juice with 4.26 speed.
