(WEAU) &#8211; One person is dead following a single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 53 in La Crosse County. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to a press release from the La Crosse County Sheriff\u2019s Office, on Aug. 7, 2026, at 12:19 p.m., authorities responded to a single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 53, near the 13-mile marker, in the Town of Holland. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The press release says a vehicle traveling on southbound on Highway 53 lost control causing the vehicle to travel through the median and rollover before coming to rest on the shoulder of the northbound lane of Highway 53.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The driver and only person in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The crash is under investigation. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The name of the driver is not being released at this time as family is being notified.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WEAU.
