Previously, vaccination information was reported at the county and state levels.<\/p>\n<p>According to state officials, the dashboard was created to give parents and communities greater access to information about vaccination rates in schools and to support informed healthcare decisions. The tool also fulfills a requirement outlined in Gov. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has reported more than 2,400 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/measles\/data-research\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">confirmed measles cases<\/a> nationwide this year, with outbreaks reported in multiple states, including <a href=\"https:\/\/metrophiladelphia.com\/stories\/july-4th-travelers-philadelphia-international-airport-measles-exposure,147566\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pennsylvania<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Health officials strongly recommend that parents follow the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/metrophiladelphia.com\/stories\/amid-trump-era-changes-shapiro-signs-vaccine-order-at-chop,107123\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">routine immunization schedule<\/a> and ensure children are fully vaccinated.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>A look at the numbers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the Department of Health, more than 90% of Pennsylvania schools submitted immunization data for the 2025-26 school year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Among the findings:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 More than half of reporting schools have kindergarten MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) vaccination rates of at least 95%, the level public health experts say helps protect communities from outbreaks.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 More than 200 schools reported a 100% MMR vaccination rate among kindergarten students.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 More than 74% of reporting schools met or exceeded the 95% MMR benchmark for seventh graders, and more than one-quarter reported a 100% vaccination rate.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 More than 83% of reporting schools met or exceeded the 95% MMR benchmark for 12th graders, while more than 22% reported a 100% vaccination rate.<\/p>\n<p>The dashboard also includes vaccination exemption rates for individual schools.<\/p>\n<p>Under Pennsylvania law, schools are required to report immunization data for kindergarten, seventh grade and 12th grade students to the Department of Health by Dec. 31 each year. State officials said they plan to work with schools that have not yet submitted data to improve reporting rates.<\/p>\n<p class=\"PDq2pG_selectionAnchorContainer\" data-start=\"2336\" data-end=\"2443\">Additional features, including the ability to search by school district, are expected to be added later this year.
