CHICAGO (WLS) — A woman has been charged with attempted murder in connection with a hit-and-run on Chicago’s North Side last month.<\/p>\n
Chicago police arrested Ivory Buchanan, a 41-year-old Evanston woman, on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Click here to watch<\/a><\/p>\n Buchanan was allegedly driving when she struck and injured 61-year-old Jamie Drozier in the West Rogers Park neighborhood’s 6100-block of North Ravenswood Avenue on Sunday, July 26.<\/p>\n Drozier’s friends became concerned after he stopped answering calls and text messages on the day of the crash, which they said was his birthday. They filed a missing person report and poster flyers<\/a> throughout his neighborhood, Edgewater.<\/p>\n According to the information shared by Drozier’s neighbor, Ann Regan, he was crossing the street at Ravenswood and Ridge when a car hit him, causing head trauma.<\/p>\n Regan said Drozier lives alone and has no living relatives, but that a close friend was staying by his side at the hospital.<\/p>\n Police said Buchanan is charged with first-degree attempted murder and two counts of aggravated battery.<\/p>\n Further information was not immediately available.<\/p>\n The video in the player above is from a previous report.<\/p>\n
