The heat index, or \u201cfeels like\u201d temperature, will be 104 degrees.<\/p>\n<p>North Texans can expect humidity and a mix of sunshine and some clouds during the day. Temperatures will peak around 4 p.m., and the heat index will remain in triple digits from 1-7 p.m., according to the weather service.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday\u2019s forecast calls for a 10-20% chance of isolated storms for most of North and Central Texas.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhether you get rain or not, summer heat will be in full force,\u201d the weather service said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NWSFortWorth\/status\/2085782582843605288?s=20\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">social media post<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Showers and thunderstorms ongoing across Oklahoma early Saturday could drift into parts of North Texas during the day. Any storms that develop could produce lightning and gusty winds, according to the weather service.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Rain will likely be limited to daytime hours and won&#8217;t continue into Saturday evening.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>However, a few isolated storms may develop Sunday before the forecast turns <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weather.gov\/fwd\/\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">hotter and drier <\/a>heading into the next work week. Forecasters said there is \u201clittle to no rain in sight\u201d next week, adding drought issues could be possible the longer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/news\/weather\/article\/dallas-weather-stray-storms-possible-friday-d-fw-22377257.php\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">North Texas<\/a> goes without substantial rain.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe warming and drying trend will continue to dry out vegetation, increasing the overall threat for wildfire starts,\u201d the weather service said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SATURDAY<\/strong>: Hot with sunshine and a few passing clouds and a 10% chance for a stray shower or storm.
