{"id":990283,"date":"2026-08-09T03:40:14","date_gmt":"2026-08-09T03:40:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/990283\/"},"modified":"2026-08-09T03:40:14","modified_gmt":"2026-08-09T03:40:14","slug":"scars-of-tomorrow-vocalist-and-music-industry-figure-mike-milford-dies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/990283\/","title":{"rendered":"Scars of Tomorrow vocalist and music industry figure Mike Milford dies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Mike Milford<\/strong>, vocalist and co-founder of West Coast melodic metalcore group <strong>Scars of Tomorrow<\/strong> has passed away after a cancer battle.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Scars of Tomorrow, Milford had been involved in various aspects of the music industry over the past 20+ years, including artist management and graphic design.<\/p>\n<p>Milford was a key figure at both <strong>The Artery Foundation<\/strong> and <strong>Artery Recordings<\/strong> \u2013 for whom he signed <strong>Chelsea Grin<\/strong> and <strong>Vanna<\/strong>, among others \u2013 and later founded <strong>Modern Empire Music<\/strong> (Fox Lake, Waste, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>Bob Bradley, founding bassist of Scars of Tomorrow had the following to say:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;Rest easy, Mike Milford. You were loved by so many and made a huge impact in the heavy music and hardcore scene during our touring days together and well after. Just thinking about you and praying for your family and all that were there for him during his battle with cancer.
