A man was seriously injured in an encounter with a moose and calf east of Nederland on Friday evening, according to the Boulder County Sheriff\u2019s Office.\n<\/p>\n
The Sheriff\u2019s Office responded to Winger Drive near the 6500 block of Magnolia\u00a0around 7:15 p.m. Friday, according to spokesperson Vinnie Montez. The man was walking his dog when he encountered the moose and calf near the end of a driveway. He was taken to a local hospital.<\/p>\n
In an email, the Sheriff\u2019s Office did not specify how the injury occurred.<\/p>\n
Colorado Parks and Wildlife has been notified, Montez said.
