Joby, based out of Santa Cruz, California, is a leading developer of eVOTL aircraft design for commercial passenger transportation, according to an Aug. 6 news release.<\/p>\n<p>Joby will try to validate operations for electric air taxi service in partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation and support future electric air taxi operations across Dallas-Fort Worth, according to its website.<\/p>\n<p>In March, Joby launched its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jobyaviation.com\/news\/joby-completes-piloted-electric-air-taxi-flight-across-san-francisco-bay-and-around-the-golden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">all-electric flight experience<\/a> in San Francisco. According to a press release, the company has logged more than 50,000 miles across its fleet and the company is ready to scale its presence across the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Under the White House-backed eVTOL Integration Pilot Program (eIPP), the company has the opportunity to begin early operations across 10 states: Arizona, Florida, Idaho, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas and Utah.<\/p>\n<p>The company has facilities in space in Dayton, Ohio, and Marina, California, according to its website. Joby plans to craft four aircrafts per month in 2027, doubling its current capacity, according to a December 2025 news release.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Quote of note<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I first visited Perot Field two decades ago and it was clear even back then that this airport would grow into a cornerstone of aviation for the region,&#8221; said Greg Bowles, Joby Aviation\u2019s chief policy officer. \u201cEstablishing a presence in Texas puts Joby in one of the most exciting markets in the country.
