Jacksonville City Council is scheduled to meet by 7 p.m. today in the Municipal Building, 200 W. Douglas Ave.<\/p>\n
The council meeting will be preceded by public hearings at 4 p.m. on a Community Development Block Grant for housing rehabilitation, a Community Development Block Grant for a downtown community revitalization program, and an Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development Grant for Nichols Park playground rehabilitation.<\/p>\n
There also will be a 6\u00a0p.m. workshop to discuss purchase of real estate at 346 N. West St., an amendment to Jacksonville zoning regulating overnight shelters and similar facilities, the rezoning of property at 302 W. College Ave. from B-2 to R-4, and the rezoning of property at Blacks Lane.<\/p>\n
