\n\tEddie Vedder<\/a> paid tribute to Glen Hansard<\/a> by busking on Dublin\u2019s Grafton Street, where the late musician got his start. Following Hansard\u2019s funeral <\/a>last week, Vedder showcased Pearl Jam<\/a>\u2018s \u201cBlack\u201d and Bruce Springsteen\u2018s \u201cDrive All Night\u201d on guitar alongside a group of fellow musicians on the local thoroughfare. <\/p>\n \n\tThe clips were shared by Scottish musician Murdo Mitchell alongside photos taken by music photographer Danny Clinch. Mitchell and Hansard had a long friendship after Hansard spotted him busking at age 14 and invited him onstage at a show. <\/p>\n \n\t\u201cAfter Glen\u2019s funeral, I asked Dylan, Tom & Felix, if they would be up for a busk at Glen\u2019s spot on Grafton St,\u201d he wrote on Instagram. \u201cThey were more than keen so we rallied a group of some friends & we headed down even though it was like 3am, it felt like the right thing to do. His spirit was there. Not got much footage of it. We only had my guitar, a broken string & some heart, but we made it work.\u201d <\/p>\n \n\tVedder performed Hansard\u2019s \u201cThe Song of Good Hope\u201d at his funeral with Hansard\u2019s Once collaborator Mark\u00e9ta Irglov\u00e1 and members of the Frames. During the memorial, Bono<\/a> played a musical voicemail from Patti Smith before reciting reworked lyrics<\/a> to U2 \u201cBeautiful Day.\u201d Both singers joined a group performance of Bob Dylan\u2019s \u201cForever Young.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \t\tTrending Stories<\/p>\n \n\tBono\u2019s tribute also celebrated Hansard\u2019s gift for friendship. \u201cHow do you do that?\u201d he asked. \u201cPeople on the green outside, best friends. People tuning in, best friends. Even people who haven\u2019t met him, best friends.
