\n\tIn this duplex penthouse<\/a> atop Australia<\/a>\u2019s One Sydney Harbour<\/a>, it\u2019s hard to know whether to focus on the design, the art, or the views.<\/p>\n

\n\tDesigned for a multi-generational family with homes around the world, the Sky Villa is a collaboration between Renzo Piano Building Workshop<\/a> and State of Craft<\/a>, marking their third long-term partnership after working on private residences at the Shard and Shard Place in London. The Sydney<\/a> penthouse, measuring in at just under 9,700 square feet, takes a restrained approach while still feeling sumptuous, thanks to interiors that pair custom pieces with luxe materials.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe moody private lobby is a bit of a head-fake, as the elevator from here leads up to a home defined by light-filled spaces and neutral tones. With the residence arranged along a V-shaped layout, the entertaining spaces are found in the northern wing. These include a double-height great room featuring a bespoke light fixture that evokes a marine creature and a formal dining room anchored by a custom table measuring almost 20 feet long and topped with seafoam-green glass.<\/p>\n

\n\tSeparated by a stone wall, the family dining area is a more casual space. It sits just off the copper-lined kitchen, which can be hidden behind sliding oak doors etched with a bronze inlay map of Sydney Harbour. Additional spaces in this area of the home include a whiskey room and a tea room.<\/p>\n

\n\tUpstairs, the primary suite encompasses a lounge, bedroom, bathroom, wardrobe, and winter garden, all connected by a Roman travertine floor. The serene hideaway is decked out in soft furnishings like wool rugs and boucl\u00e9 sofas. On this level, there\u2019s also a gym and spa which lead to the rooftop terrace. Here, an outdoor kitchen is paired with a granite-lined infinity pool and hot tub, all covered by a glass curtain wall that allows the roof to be enjoyed year-round.<\/p>\n
