\n\tThere are still several months before Avengers: Doomsday arrives <\/a>in theaters, but that didn\u2019t stop Chris Evans<\/a> from giving fans a little teaser.<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring a recent Q&A at Fan Expo Boston <\/a>over the weekend, the actor, who reprises his role<\/a> as Steve Rogers\/Captain America<\/a> in the upcoming Marvel blockbuster, said that his character\u2019s storyline is \u201cbrutal.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe Russos love beating up Steve Rogers,\u201d Evans said of the Russo Brothers, who are helming Doomsday. \u201cTheir favorite thing to do is to just beat the crap out of him. To them, that\u2019s what makes a hero, and that\u2019s someone who gets punched so many times but still gets up. So they keep finding new ways to kick his butt. And this one was brutal.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition to Evans, the upcoming film\u2019s stacked cast includes many Marvel superheroes from the legacy Avengers and X-Men to the Thunderbolts and The Fantastic Four. They\u2019re all expected to team up to face off against villain Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile chatting with People at Comic-Con 2026 last month<\/a>, directors Anthony and Joe Russo said they knew Downey Jr. was perfect for the villain role once they heard the voice<\/a> the Oscar winner had crafted for the character.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThat was something that Robert surprised us with one day,\u201d Anthony recalled. \u201cYou know, we were talking about all the details of the character \u2014 the voice, of course, is a key part of it, especially in the mask.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSo one day I think it was in the trailer, we were just sort of talking about some ideas and he broke out into the voice. And we knew at that moment, that was it,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
