Here&#8217;s what VIA says about progress on the Green Line."},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\"><strong>SAN ANTONIO<\/strong> \u2013 Construction for VIA Metropolitan Transit\u2019s Rapid Green Line has taken over San Pedro Avenue, causing headaches for some drivers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">One viewer, Paul L., reached out to KSAT to ask for an update on the project, so we went to the project field office to meet Rod Sanchez, who oversees VIA\u2019s rapid transit projects.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">\u201cIt is really a transformative project here in San Antonio,\u201d Sanchez said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">The $481 million project will make bus service more frequent between the San Antonio International Airport on the North Side and Brooks Transit Center on the South Side, with dedicated bus lanes and new signal-protected pedestrian crossings.
