Dallas-Fort Worth\u2019s heat index, or \u201cfeels like\u201d temperature, is expected to reach 108 degrees.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday\u2019s high will be 101 degrees, with temperatures expected to be in triple digits from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. North Texans may see some clouds, and wind gusts are expected to reach 21 mph.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Nighttime temperatures Tuesday will be in the upper 80s and lower 90s, according to the weather service.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The weather service forecasts minimal rain chances on Tuesday and through the rest of the week.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As winds pick up and North Texas remains dry, the region could become more susceptible to drought and fire threats, according to the weather service.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur focus will shift to an increasing fire weather threat across North and Central Texas by mid\/late week,\u201d the weather service said Monday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The fire threat is expected to increase on Thursday as winds become stronger. Wind gusts could reach 25 mph or higher in some areas Thursday and Friday, according to the weather service.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>To stay safe in the dangerous heat, the weather service recommends staying hydrated, wearing loose and lightweight clothing and staying indoors or in the shade when possible.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>TUESDAY<\/strong>: Sunny and hot.
