{"id":995516,"date":"2026-08-12T05:48:14","date_gmt":"2026-08-12T05:48:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/995516\/"},"modified":"2026-08-12T05:48:14","modified_gmt":"2026-08-12T05:48:14","slug":"rosario-dawson-says-shes-a-reject-of-spider-man-after-brand-new-day-cut-daredevils-claire-temple-cameo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/995516\/","title":{"rendered":"Rosario Dawson Says She&#8217;s &#8220;A Reject Of Spider-Man&#8221; After &#8216;Brand New Day&#8217; Cut &#8216;Daredevil&#8217;s Claire Temple Cameo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/rosario-dawson\/\" id=\"auto-tag_rosario-dawson\" data-tag=\"rosario-dawson\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rosario Dawson<\/a> reprised her role of Claire Temple of <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/daredevil\/\" id=\"auto-tag_daredevil\" data-tag=\"daredevil\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Daredevil<\/a> in <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/spider-man\/\" id=\"auto-tag_spider-man\" data-tag=\"spider-man\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Spider-Man<\/a>: Brand New Day, but her cameo was cut from the film.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While attending GalaxyCon in Raleigh, North Carolina, last month, Dawson opened up about learning she would no longer appear in the film.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWell \u2026 I\u2019m going to have to say: I could have said Spider-Man,\u201d Dawson said after a fan asked what character she would like her Daredevil character to work with. \u201cI even shot a scene in the new Spider-Man movie. But I got cut out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She continued, \u201cI know. I told my mom, and she was like, \u2018That sucks. Now I can\u2019t post the [behind the scenes] pictures [on social media].\u2019 And I was like, \u2018Right mom. Me being cut out of the movie that has, like, the largest viewership of a trailer ever, the issue is you can\u2019t post your BTS photos.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dawson noted that her uncle Gus \u201cwas a comic-book artist and that\u2019s really the reason I have such an admiration for this space. I knew when Sin City was coming out, I auditioned for it and [knew about] Frank Miller. I understood these things because of [my uncle], and the first character he learned to draw was Spider-Man. So Spider-Man is really huge.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThere\u2019s a frame in one of the new comics that has a young Spider-Man talking to Daredevil, and they made it so that the young Spider-Man goes to PS19 in the Lower East Side \u2014 which is where I went to elementary school!\u201d she said. \u201cWhen I tell you my post was already ready, with my BTS! My grandson wearing all of his Spider-Man stuff because he loves Spider-Man. Then I got the email that was like, \u2018Yeah, nah.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dawson joked, saying, \u201cI\u2019m a reject of Spider-Man,\u201d noting that her Daredevil character \u201cis somewhere in that same universe, and I really love that.
