For the Philadelphia Eagles, they are the leaders in the clubhouse of the elite club.

The Eagles are the only team with two players to garner a 99 rating in Madden 26. Unsurprisingly, Saquon Barkley made the list after a historic first season with the Eagles. The veteran offensive tackle Lane Johnson is the other.

Aside from Barkley and Johnson, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Justin Jefferson, Ja’Marr Chase, and Myles Garrett have notched a spot in the 99 club this season.

Players with a 99 overall rating in Madden 26:

Saquon Barkley
Lamar Jackson
Josh Allen
Justin Jefferson
Ja’Marr Chase
Myles Garrett
Lane Johnson pic.twitter.com/C2ripGSnIm

— Jordan Schultz (@Schultz_Report) July 28, 2025

Johnson, 35, continues playing at an elite level for the Eagles at this stage of his career. The offensive tackle has been with the team since he entered the NFL in 2013 out of Oklahoma. The Eagles made Johnson their fourth-overall pick, and it’s safe to say that he’s lived up to the hype.

The veteran tackle had some issues with availability early on. Whether it was injuries or suspensions, there were stretches where Johnson’s inability to get on the field was holding him back and clouding judgment about his value to the team.

Since 2017, Johnson has consistently been in the Pro Bowl conversation. He made it three years in a row from 2017 to 2019. After missing out in 2020 and 2021, Johnson collected another three Pro Bowls leading up to last year. At this point, Johnson is the longest-tenured Eagle, who is still active, after the retirement of Brandon Graham.

The veteran lineman recently claimed that he doesn’t have retirement in sight as of now, which is great news for Philadelphia.

“I still feel young in heart, but you can’t ignore Father Time,” Johnson said earlier this month. “I’m still having fun and enjoying what I do. I love being around the guys, competing, and it’s just something that I really love doing every minute of it.”

Saquon Barkley #26 of the Philadelphia Eagles runs with the ball before a game against the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium on November 24, 2024 in Inglewood, California.
Saquon Barkley #26 of the Philadelphia Eagles runs with the ball before a game against the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium on November 24, 2024 in Inglewood, California.
Ric Tapia/Getty Images

Saquon Barkley joined Philadelphia last year after his run with the New York Giants. In New York, Barkley was good. After one season in Philadelphia, he turned great. The Eagles issued Barkley a league-high 345 carries last season. He led the NFL in rushing with 2,005 yards. He racked up 13 touchdowns on the ground, along with two in the air.

Barkley had an MVP-caliber year and nearly broke the NFL‘s single-season rushing record. Despite missing out on becoming the league’s most valuable, Barkley was awarded the Offensive Player of the Year nod and added a Super Bowl victory to his resume.

For more Philadelphia Eagles and NFL news, head over to Newsweek Sports

While players probably don’t lose sleep over their Madden rating, it has to feel good to enter the…

[5132
5229,1232,1448,2830,1311,1105,67,586,132,5230,68,2969
0":"post-99585","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-philadelphia","8":"tag-america","9":"tag-nfl","10":"tag-pa","11":"tag-pennsylvania","12":"tag-philadelphia","13":"tag-philadelphia-eagles","14":"tag-united-states","15":"tag-united-states-of-america","16":"tag-unitedstates","17":"tag-unitedstatesofamerica","18":"tag-us","19":"tag-usa
["GET
