Last summer, Meagan Harris<\/a> performed a one-woman show she developed with Carlos\u00a0Garc\u00eda Est\u00e9vez, founder of Manifesto Poetico, an international theater laboratory based outside Madrid, Spain. Now the Dallas actor is back with a festival of bilingual solo performances that includes new pieces by her and two other local theater artists, Armando\u00a0Monsivais and Bismark Quintanilla Jr., co-written by Est\u00e9vez, who also directs the shows.<\/p>\n

Presented by the social justice group Artstillery<\/a>, each piece in Los Tres Cabazones: A Three-Part Festival deals with identity and liberation in different ways, including the harrowing nature of immigration, the role of our ancestors in our sense of belonging and how we define success and happiness.<\/p>\n

Harris, Monsivais and Quintanilla collaborated with Est\u00e9vez in 2024 when they were cast in Cara M\u00eda Theatre\u2019s production of\u00a0Diosa<\/a>, a piece devised by the ensemble members and Manifesto Poetico. They traveled to Spain earlier this year to work on the new solo shows with Est\u00e9vez.<\/p>\n
