Scarborough\u2019s Hollow is set to make its return to Waxahachie this fall. Kicking off this September, the festival will transform the area into a 16th-century village and fantasy festival. Recognized at the 21st Annual Renaissance Festival Awards as the Favorite FaeryFantasy Festival<\/strong>, Scorborough\u2019s Hollow will feature over a month of artisan markets, lively pubs, fantasy folklore<\/strong>, and era-appropriate performances. <\/p>\n The 2026 expansion of the festival introduces more live entertainment and interactive experiences <\/strong>than in previous years. Guests will discover highly immersive environments<\/strong> filled with artisan shopping and seasonal culinary offerings<\/strong>. <\/p>\n From bustling village streets to magical gathering places, the festival grounds are meticulously designed <\/strong>to ensure that visitors encounter new sights and attractions throughout the day and deep into the night.<\/p>\n Throughout the day, roaming characters play out an interactive storyline <\/strong>between the magical Three Sisters and a dark force named Lucian. Wear family-friendly fantasy, autumn, or Renaissance attire to blend right into the village atmosphere.<\/p>\n \u201cScarborough\u2019s Hollow isn\u2019t just another seasonal attraction,\u201d said Veronica Castelo<\/strong>, general \u201cIt\u2019s an immersive fantasy world <\/strong>where guests become part of the story. Every visit leads to a new discovery, every character has a tale to tell, and every visit offers something different to explore. We wanted to create an experience where people can escape reality for a day <\/strong>and step into a magical world they\u2019ll want to visit again and again.\u201d<\/p>\n The festival will feature special themed events throughout the run,<\/strong> including ASL interpretation for Deaf Awareness Day, Halloween trick-or-treating<\/strong> with a costume contest, and a D\u00eda de los Muertos closing celebration<\/strong> featuring mariachi music and a community ofrenda. Visitors upgrade their experience with optional paid attractions<\/strong> like the Blackthorn Haunted Castle, a 3D fun house, a cemetery scavenger hunt, and guided wine or beer tastings.<\/p>\n The Scarborough\u2019s Hollow festival runs from September 26 \u2013\u00a0November 1, 2027<\/strong> at 2511 FM 66<\/strong> in Waxahachie. Each day of the festival, Scarborough\u2019s Hollow will be open from 1 pm \u2013\u00a09 pm<\/strong>. Tickets start at $29.70 for adults,<\/strong> and $16.50 <\/strong>for children between the ages of 5 and 12.
