The ATP rankings have been updated once again after events in Washington D.C., Umag and Kitzbuhel.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Alex de Minaur beat Alejandro Davidovich Fokina<\/a> to win the Washington Open<\/a> title, in what was a heartbreaking defeat for the Spaniard who had three championship points.<\/p>\n

While in Umag, an Italian player who has now won more titles than Jannik Sinner in 2025<\/a> took victory, as Luciano Darderi won his second title in as many weeks.<\/p>\n

This is similar to the situation in Kitzbuhel, as Alexander Bublik continued his strong form<\/a> to win his third title of the 2025 season.<\/p>\n

All of these tournaments have had big impacts on the ATP<\/a> rankings, but it is not just the champions who have been rewarded.<\/p>\n

Many of the top 10 players did not compete over the last week, but Wimbledon champion Jannik Sinner<\/a> still remains the clear world number one, sitting 3,430 ranking points ahead of Carlos Alcaraz<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There are three movers inside the top 10 of the ATP rankings, including Washington Open champion De Minaur<\/a>, who has now climbed five places back up to world number eight.<\/p>\n

De Minaur\u2019s career-high ranking is world number six, which he achieved in July last year.<\/p>\n

One player who is now at a career-high ranking is Ben Shelton, despite losing to Davidovich Fokina<\/a> in the Washington Open semifinals.<\/p>\n

While they are not in the top 10, other champions Bublik and Darderi have also been rewarded for their back-to-back title victories.<\/p>\n

Bublik has moved five places up the rankings to world number 25, solidifying his position as a seed for the US Open<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Although Darderi is not currently in a seeded position for the US Open, he is not far away after jumping 11 places up to world number 35.<\/p>\n

Who is currently in position to qualify for the ATP Finals?<\/p>\n

It is not just the ATP rankings that are of importance, with the race to the year-end ATP Finals<\/a> also hotting up.<\/p>\n

Despite Sinner<\/a> having a huge lead at the top of the ATP rankings, it is actually Roland Garros champion Alcaraz<\/a> who leads the race, and he has actually already qualified for the ATP Finals in Turin later this year.<\/p>\n

After winning his first title this year at the Washington Open, De Minaur now holds the final qualifying spot.<\/p>\n

Although Shelton is not in those top eight places, he is not far behind in ninth and is just 125 ranking points behind De Minaur.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
