Country music star Jake Owen has a Tesla Cybertruck, but his fans know that might not be the case before long.<\/p>\n
Because Owen has been sharing his experience driving the thing around his hometown and it is not going well.<\/p>\n
The latest incident came Thursday when Owen went to dinner with his daughter, Pearl.<\/p>\n
The star shared a video to X from the inside<\/b><\/a> <\/b>of his vehicle with his daughter next to him giving the details.<\/p>\n \u201cSo, I just had a wonderful little early dinner,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m with one of my best friends in the world, Pearl over here. We\u2019ve been hanging a lot. <\/p>\n \u201cOne of my best friends decided to join us for dinner and they parked next to me and on our way out, I was explaining to them, I have gotta get, I think I might have to get rid of this Cybertruck. They were like, why? I was like, first of all, it does look a little ridiculous. Let\u2019s just be honest. But I\u2019m getting a lot of hate. I really am.\u201d<\/p>\n Owen said his friend commented that \u201cpeople these days are crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n Owen said that as he approached is car he saw a note under the windshield wiper. <\/p>\n \u201cI thought, I can\u2019t wait to read this note,\u201d he said. \u201cMaybe it\u2019s somebody that is being nice and was like maybe they saw me and they\u2019re like, \u2018Hey Jake.\u2019 I don\u2019t know why I thought that. I\u2019m not trying to be narcissistic or anything. I just like maybe this is going to be something nice.\u201d<\/p>\n He then held up the note. <\/p>\n \u201cMy daughter is with me,\u201d he said. \u201cThanks a lot whoever left me this note. It says, \u2018This car makes you look (expletive) stupid.\u2019 With a heart. With a heart. They signed it with love. And it really absolutely solidified my thought that maybe I need to get a new truck. Uh, this is getting ridiculous guys. Be safe out there. I\u2019m just living my life.<\/p>\n \u201cWhoever left me this note, I love you and I\u2019ll hug you the next time I see you,\u201d he added. \u201cI promise I\u2019m a good due, but maybe I do look stupid.\u201d<\/p>\n That came after Owen relayed a story about a recent stop at Starbucks. <\/p>\n He began by talking about how he came to Nashville in a 2000 Toyota 4Runner that he still owns. He said he recently drove that 4Runner to his local Starbucks and ended up in a conversation with a man there about how awesome the vehicles are. <\/p>\n \u201cA couple days later, I drive my Cybertruck (to the same Starbucks), and this guy is kind of staring at me funny,\u201d Owen said. \u201cDifferent guy by the way. I get out, and he\u2019s like, \u2018Is that yours?\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018Yeah, I\u2019m driving it.\u2019 He goes, \u2018(Expletive) you traitor.\u2019 I swear. I was like, what? This is before we went in.\u201d<\/p>\n Owen said he followed the man into the Starbucks and ordered.<\/p>\n \u201cI guess if you want to get picked on drive a Cybertruck,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n The worst part, he said, is the order of the man who called him out.<\/p>\n \u201cThe guy was there to get a blended Frappuccino,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n If you purchase a product or register for an account through a link on our site, we may receive compensation.
