{"id":997328,"date":"2026-08-13T03:14:43","date_gmt":"2026-08-13T03:14:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/997328\/"},"modified":"2026-08-13T03:14:43","modified_gmt":"2026-08-13T03:14:43","slug":"bruce-blakeman-has-defiant-message-for-dems-angry-about-his-ai-ads-on-hochul-mamdani","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/997328\/","title":{"rendered":"Bruce Blakeman has defiant message for Dems angry about his AI ads on Hochul, Mamdani"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Republican gubernatorial candidate <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/08\/11\/us-news\/james-dolan-backed-pac-hits-kathy-hochul-for-bruce-blakeman\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bruce Blakeman<\/a> told Democrats to get over it after party leaders filed a complaint against him for a series of AI campaign ads.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Blakeman said he\u2019d continue to use artificial intelligence ads despite a complaint to the Board of Elections from state Democratic Party chairman <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/06\/29\/us-news\/dem-leader-experts-admit-what-fueled-nys-socialist-surge-and-it-wasnt-affordability-pledge\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jay Jacobs<\/a> that accused the GOP candidate of violating state law by not disclosing the use of the tech in some of the ads.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverybody knows it\u2019s AI, and it\u2019s funny \u2014 so what\u2019s your problem? Get a life,\u201d Blakeman, who is currently serving as Nassau County executive, said during a campaign stop in Flushing, Queens on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>New York Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman unloaded on state Dems during a campaign stop in Flushing, Queens, and vowed to continue using the controversial AI in his advertisements despite the complaint. Michael Nagle for NY Post<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know what [the Democrats\u2019] problem is \u2014 they\u2019re trying to cheat \u2014 I guess because it\u2019s so effective,\u201d Blakeman said of his ads, which often depict his political foes Gov. <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/08\/11\/us-news\/hochul-tries-to-distance-herself-from-mamdanis-bungled-rollout-of-her-pied-a-terre-tax-and-it-could-haunt-her-insiders\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kathy Hochul<\/a> and Mayor <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/08\/11\/us-news\/zohran-mamdani-blames-nyc-staff-after-nypd-denies-rama-duwaji-a-police-escort-to-the-middle-east\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Zohran Mamdani<\/a> in outrageous, exaggerated scenarios.<\/p>\n<p>Some of his recent AI ads include videos depicting an AI Hochul appearing to rob a bank, playing poker and gambling taxpayer funds with Mamdani. In another the AI Democrat is offered crack from a dealer she calls a \u201cnice young man,\u201d while she gets a ringing endorsements from illegal migrants, lobbyists, and a drug dealer named \u201cWhite Boy Rej.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jacobs, however, finds nothing about the ads funny, and said Blakeman is \u201cdistort[ing] reality\u201d and \u201cmisleading\u201d voters into believing Hochul said and did things that she has not, according to the complaint sent to the BOE on Monday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Blakeman campaign has been proud to convert taxpayer dollars into campaign funds and then use those public matching funds to support campaign activities that violate the Election Law,\u201d Jacobs wrote.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>One AI-generated ad depicted Hochul being offered crack from a dealer she calls a \u201cnice young man.\u201d X\/@NassauExec<\/p>\n<p>Another AI-generated ad included Hochul and Mamdani appearing to rob a bank. X\/@NassauExec<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe State Board of Elections cannot permit a campaign to repeatedly flout the Election Law, and it certainly cannot permit that campaign to pull down public matching funds in furtherance of this subversion,\u201d Jacobs wrote.<\/p>\n<p>The chairman also called Blakeman\u2019s stance \u201cvery Trumpian.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cContrary to his assertion: Democrats CAN take a joke, which is why we are so glad that HE is the Governor\u2019s opponent in this upcoming election,\u201d he said in a statement. \u201cBruce cannot run on his record and is desperate to distract from his abysmal policy positions which will raise costs and reduce services in our state.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>State law does require that a disclosure is required when political commercials use the tech to \u201cmaterially deceptive media,\u201d such as events or conversations that never took place.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>An AI-generated campaign ad against Kathy Hochul.  X\/@NassauExec<\/p>\n<p>Many of Blakeman\u2019s AI campaign videos do disclose its usage at the end of the commercial, however, not all of his AI ads have included the disclosure, according to a review of his ads by The Post.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The ads are mainly produced by AI content creator Walter Shub, who said he prompts the tech to concoct political satire meant for politically conservative and pro-Israel audiences.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Walter Shub, the creator of the AI-generated videos, was hired by the Blakeman campaign earlier this year.
