\n\tIce Cube<\/a> offered Caitlin Clark the opportunity to play for his BIG3 basketball league before she joined the WNBA<\/a> in 2024, but that same lucrative $5 million proposal won\u2019t be extend to Angel Reese.<\/p>\n

\n\tTM<\/a>Z<\/a> caught up with Cube at the airport over the weekend, where he detailed why Angel Reese\u2019s potential BIG3 offer would be different because she wouldn\u2019t \u201chave that same impact\u201d for the league.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cShe\u2019s a great player,\u201d he said of Reese. \u201cThe thing with Caitlin Clark, it was to unlock millions of dollars for the league because of her stardom. What our sponsors were telling us, they didn\u2019t tell us the same about Angel Reese, so I don\u2019t know if we can make that same offer.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI don\u2019t think we can make that same offer because it won\u2019t have that same impact to the league,\u201d Cube added. \u201cAll business \u2014 it ain\u2019t nothing personal.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tCaitlin Clark would\u2019ve just needed to play eight regular-season games and possibly playoffs, but she ultimately went to the WNBA, where she was drafted No. 1 overall by the Indiana Fever last year. Her rookie salary isn\u2019t six figures, but per Sportico,<\/a> she\u2019s netted $11 million in endorsements. <\/p>\n

\n\tAngel Reese has enjoyed a great sophomore season. She made the WNBA All-Star Game, as the Chicago Sky forward is averaging nearly 14 points and 12.5 rebounds per game. She also launched her own signature shoe with Reebok and debuted the Mebounds pink colorway at the WNBA All-Star game in July. In addition, the 23-year-old LSU alum was tapped to grace the cover of this year\u2019s NBA 2K26\u00a0WNBA Edition.<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring the off-season, Reese also took part in the three-on-three Unrivaled league launched by her fellow WNBA stars, which saw her collect a bonus check for winning the championship. <\/p>\n

\n\tAs for Cube, the 2025 BIG3 season is in full swing, with the league headed for week eight in Houston on Saturday (Aug. 2).<\/p>\n
