Community Impact highlights new or upcoming businesses weekly, along with other restaurant spotlights.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Now open<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1. <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/frisco\/dining\/la-la-land-cafe-opens-frisco-location\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">La La Land Cafe opens Frisco location<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La La Land Cafe, a Dallas-based coffee and matcha chain, has opened a new location in Frisco.<\/p>\n<p>The eatery\u2019s beverage menu includes a variety of tea and coffee drinks such as specialty teas, coffee drinks, lattes and light dishes like avocado toast and cacao banana chia seed pudding. Also available for purchase are apparel items like hats and handbags.<\/p>\n<p>The Frisco location features options for drive-thru and dine-in with an outdoor patio.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Coming soon<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>2.<a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/grapevine-colleyville-southlake\/dining\/vidorra-to-serve-street-tacos-handcrafted-margaritas-in-grapevine\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Vidorra to serve street tacos, handcrafted margaritas in Grapevine<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Vidorra&#8217;s fifth location will open in Grapevine in late August.<\/p>\n<p>Vidorra&#8217;s menu includes street tacos, fajitas, aguachile, house-made guacamole and parrillada en fuego, an assortment of meat and vegetables served in a molcajete. The drink menu includes a selection of cocktails, such as noche tropical and Vidorra\u2019s soft serve margarita, which combines soft serve ice cream and a frozen margarita.<\/p>\n<p>The restaurant also offers a weekend brunch with options including chilaquiles, breakfast tacos and tableside mimosas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/richardson\/dining\/truck-yard-sets-opening-date-in-richardson\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Truck Yard sets opening date in Richardson<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Truck Yard will open in Richardson on Sept. 1, according to the company\u2019s website.<\/p>\n<p>The bar and beer garden will feature rotating food trucks, live music and an on-site kitchen and bar. Truck Yard is taking over a property formerly occupied by Old 75 Beer Garden, which closed in 2024.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/plano\/dining\/corner-bakery-to-open-second-plano-location-along-dallas-parkway\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Corner Bakery to open second Plano location along Dallas Parkway<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A new Corner Bakery Cafe location is opening along Dallas Parkway in Plano.<\/p>\n<p>A 2,949-square-foot space is under renovation at Polo Towne Crossing in Plano, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.<\/p>\n<p>Corner Bakery is known for its artisan breads used for sandwiches, salads and its soups. Some of its menu items include breakfast options like pancakes, panini and croissant sandwiches.<\/p>\n<p>Customers can also order overnight oats or a parfait. Bakery items include muffins, bagels and cinnamon rolls.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In the news<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>5. <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/mckinney\/dining\/pie-tap-celebrates-10-years-of-serving-artisan-pizza-to-dallas-fort-worth-area\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pie Tap celebrates 10 years of serving artisan pizza to Dallas-Fort Worth area<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pie Tap founder and CEO Rich Hicks said the kind of pizza he ate with his young children made him feel lethargic, and he knew that if he ever started a pizza restaurant, he wanted to do things differently.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wanted it to be uniquely differentiated, and we would be selling that Italian-style, artisan dough to Dallas,\u201d Hicks said.<\/p>\n<p>Hicks opened the first Pie Tap location in the Dallas Design District at 1212 Oak Lawn Ave., Dallas, in early August 2016, serving pizza with dough made from a 300-year-old sourdough starter. Ten years and six additional locations later, Pie Tap is still using its original dough recipe, Hicks said.
