The Associated Press called the race<\/a> for Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth at 11:26 p.m. EDT on Tuesday as the state speaker had secured 43.6% of the 93% of the votes counted.<\/p>\n Lindell, who was backed by President Donald Trump, came a distant second with 32.3%% of the votes.<\/p>\n Kendall Qualls, a former healthcare executive who has backed the Minnesota GOP, placed third with 21.4% of the vote.<\/p>\n Lindell told reporters after the race was called his team needed \u201ca day\u201d to review the results, claiming, without evidence, they\u2019ve \u201cseen a couple of anomalies.\u201d<\/p>\n Trump, who wrote on Truth Social earlier Tuesday that Lindell \u201cdeserves a BIG WIN IN MINNESOTA today\u201d hasn\u2019t commented publicly on Lindell\u2019s loss. <\/p>\n Lindell has said<\/a> he went broke defending himself in multiple defamation suits filed against him by voting machine companies for pushing Trump\u2019s election fraud claims in 2020. <\/p>\n His loss adds to the small but growing list of Trump-endorsed GOP candidates who have failed to win their primaries. <\/p>\n What To Watch For<\/p>\n Polls show<\/a> Democratic nominee Sen.
