The Arizona Science Center<\/a> is making a serious case for staying local this summer with \u201cSounds of the Ocean,\u201d a jaw-dropping, 47-minute multisensory dive beneath the surface of the Central Pacific Ocean, now showing at the Dorrance DOME<\/a>.<\/p>\n Think whale songs echoing overhead. Dolphin calls bouncing off the walls. Crashing waves and underwater ambiance wrapping around you in stunning 8K-plus resolution<\/p>\n \u201c[It\u2019s] the most immersive, technologically advanced planetarium on Earth, right here in Phoenix,\u201d said Alec Warren, Director of Dorrance DOME Experiences and Planetarium.<\/p>\n The show has already wowed audiences across Europe, Oceania, and the United States, and Phoenix is one of the select U.S. cities lucky enough to host it.<\/p>\n Inside the dome, you\u2019ll sink into reclining seats in a cool 65-degree environment while the ocean swallows you whole from every angle. Traditional theater-style seating is also available for those who prefer it.<\/p>\n The show makes its debut on Thursday, Aug. 20., and tickets will be available through December.
