A woman is dead and a man is in critical condition after a shooting on Staten Island that police are investigating as an attempted murder-suicide, sources tell The Post.<\/p>\n
Cops from the NYPD\u2019s 122 Precinct were dispatched to a home in Garth Court on reports of a shooting shortly after 11 a.m. on Thursday and made the grisly discovery, the sources said.<\/p>\n
Inside the house, police found a 39-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the torso and a 27-year-old man with a head wound, according to police.<\/p>\n

Both were rushed to Staten Island University Hospital, where the woman was pronounced dead, and the man was listed in critical condition, police said.<\/p>\n
The victims were not immediately identified, but sources said the two were in a relationship.
