It now ranks at No. 6 on the all-time North American chart after hitting theaters July 31, moving past Black Panther\u2019s $700 million domestically. Next on the list would be Top Gun: Maverick at $718 million. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tInternationally, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/spider-man-brand-new-day\/\" id=\"auto-tag_spider-man-brand-new-day_1\" data-tag=\"spider-man-brand-new-day\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Spider-Man: Brand New Day<\/a> has added $1.108 billion to leap past <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/spider-man-no-way-home\/\" id=\"auto-tag_spider-man-no-way-home_1\" data-tag=\"spider-man-no-way-home\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Spider-Man: No Way Home<\/a> ($1.106 billion) as Sony\u2019s biggest film ever overseas. Starring <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/tom-holland\/\" id=\"auto-tag_tom-holland_1\" data-tag=\"tom-holland\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tom Holland<\/a> as Marvel\u2019s signature hero, Brand New Day now stands at No. 10 on the list of highest-grossing features internationally. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tNo Way Home was the previous live-action\u00a0Spider-Man\u00a0release that opened in December 2021 and has collected $1.9 billion globally, a figure that should soon be within reach for Brand New Day. The returns for No Way Home had seemed tough to match, given that it had the benefit of the buzz surrounding the return of past Peter Parkers in Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, not to mention that the release faced no real competition and marked the first post-COVID theatrical visit for many moviegoers who were starved for entertainment experiences.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tZendaya, Sadie Sink and Jon Bernthal also star in filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton\u2019s Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Its record-breaking run has included surpassing 2019\u2019s Avengers: Endgame for the biggest domestic opening weekend ever with $360 million. It went on to earn the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/spider-man-brand-new-day-box-office-biggest-first-week-1236668259\/\">highest-grossing first week<\/a> in domestic box office history and become the second-fastest film (after Endgame) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/spider-man-brand-new-day-billion-global-box-office-1236663765\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">to reach $1 billion globally<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tHailing from producers Marvel Studios and Amy Pascal,\u00a0Brand New Day\u00a0carries a $225 million production budget. The movie centers on Holland\u2019s Spider-Man as he endures a lonely existence before an unseen foe tracks him down. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe success of Brand New Day, in addition to fellow recent hits The Odyssey and Toy Story 5, helped the 2026 summer box office surpass the $4 billion mark this week.
