The left shoulder and far left lane of westbound I-20 near\u00a0Granbury Road were also closed, TxDOT cameras showed.<\/p>\n<p>According to a statement from FWPD spokeswoman Cynthia Wood, officers were dispatched to the 3700 block of I-20 about 6:30 a.m. after reports of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/news\/crime\/\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">shooting<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Once there, police found a woman, who wasn\u2019t publicly identified, inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound. Witnesses told police the woman and the suspect had been traveling eastbound when the suspect pulled up and fired shots at her before fleeing the scene, Wood said.<\/p>\n<p>Responders attempted life-saving measures, but the woman died at the scene, Wood said.<\/p>\n<p>Police ask anyone with information on the shooting to contact Fort Worth police at 817-392-4330.
