King Charles urges Trump not to abandon Nato and Ukraine | BBC News

King Charles has spoken of the “unbreakable” friendship between the US and UK, in a speech to the US Congress in Washington.

The King also praised NATO and urged President Trump to defend Ukraine, in pointed moments in his speech. Charles
reminded Congress that the only time Nato military alliance’s collective defence had been invoked was after the 911 attacks on the US

And in pointed comments he went on to say: “Today, Mr Speaker, that same, unyielding resolve is needed for the defence of Ukraine and her most courageous people. It is needed in order to secure a truly just and lasting peace”.
