Why does Starmer think Farage is ‘exploiting’ Henry Nowak’s murder? – Watch ITV Evening News LIVE
Sir Keir Starmer has told MPs that the violent protests in Southampton on Tuesday night over the police treatment of murdered student Henry Nowak were “disgraceful and completely unacceptable”.
The prime minister said there is no justification for more violence and disorder following the murder of Henry Nowak. He criticised Nigel Farage after the Reform UK leader asserted that the UK has “two-tier policing” and that officers are told to treat different ethnic groups differently.
Farage faced repeated calls from other MPs to “condemn the violence”. “The grieving family have asked us not to respond in the way that the leader of Reform has responded,” Starmer said.
