Why has the murder of 18-year-old Henry Nowak become so political? – Watch ITV News at Ten LIVE

The murder of Henry Nowak has sparked a political debate in a clash between Starmer and Farage.

The Prime Minister said the Reform UK Leader’s “appeal for rage” in response to the death of Henry Nowak was “unforgivable,” and called the attacks by protestors on police in Southampton on Tuesday “disgraceful”.

Starmer praised the responses from opposition leaders, Kemi Badenoch and Ed Davey, thanking them for their “approach and tone” in relation to the case.

At Prime Minister’s Questions on Wednesday, the Prime Minister said:
“There are serious questions to answer, including how accusations of racism informed police thinking, and we are supporting the IOPC to get to the bottom of what happened.”
