Donald Trump has agreed a peace plan with Iran to end hostilities. The memorandum of understanding was signed at the Palace of Versailles shortly before a dinner hosted by the French president. Trump has suggested that if he had not struck a deal, the strait of Hormuz would never have opened and the alternative would have been a ‘worldwide depression’
