Iranians begin six-day funeral for Ali Khamenei

Millions of Iranians gathered in Tehran for a six-day funeral of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Top officials attended a ceremony for Khamenei, who was Supreme Leader of Iran for 36 years. He was killed by US and Israeli strikes in their first attack of the war in February, along with several members of his family. Iran’s first vice-president, Mohammad Reza Aref, described the funeral as “the most important event of this century”.
