Killers of PC Harper potentially freed from prison early – ITV’s Evening News LIVE
PC Andrew Harper died after he was dragged, for more than a mile, behind a thieves’ getaway car. The news that two of the gang could be eligible for early release, to ease prison overcrowding, has prompted anger from fellow officers.
PC Harper’s widow also condemned the move as ‘deplorable’. The Prime Minister has pledged to review the whole early release scheme.
