Shamed Hull funeral director Robert Bush is expected to be jailed today for his crimes in what concludes five days of sentencing.
Bush is on the final day of a five day sentencing hearing in a case which sent shockwaves through the nation and led to calls for tougher regulations across the funeral industry.
The 48-year-old admitted 67 charges, including preventing a lawful and decent burial and fraud. The charges relate to the discovery of remains at his business on Hessle Road in city back in early 2024, when concerns were raised about ongoing practices.
Bush was initially due to be tried later this year, but pleaded guilty in April to 30 counts of preventing a burial and more than 30 fraud charges, as well as theft.
Sentencing is being passed on Friday at Hull Crown Court after five days.
